Mongolia government has included drafting Public-Private Partnership Law immediately in the government 2008-2012 action plan and financial crises management plan. Ad hoc committee for developing PPP base law draft was established in accordance to National Development and Innovation Committee Chairman Decree as part of executing these plans.

For the last few weeks, ad hoc committee has been working on the development of this law and came up with the initial draft. At the moment, we’re seeking comments and assistance from various international organizations and other relevant private firms as we feel that it is important that both business community and international organization’s voices are heard and considered when drafting this law.  Please provide us with your corresponding opinion feedback on the draft law at your earliest convenience.

When the proposal to create such an organization was submitted to the Parliament, there was not a single objection from the members of the Parliament. In other words, the parliament is supporting your organization from the beginning and entrusting you.

 

Therefore, I wish to briefly present my opinion on your newly established Committee’s mission, objective, aim as well as expectation in response to emerging necessities and assign the management and the staff with some tasks.
